Our Winchester baby swimming classes are run from Shepherds Down School hydrotherapy pool, in Compton, just to the south of Winchester.

The hydrotherapy pool is kept at about 34C – perfect for keeping your little one warm so no wetsuit is required. Babies need to be over 6 months to swim at this venue due to school regulations. There is plenty of car parking available at the school, and plenty of space for spectators.. The changing areas are quite small, so an easy change of clothes is recommended.

All the below term dates are confirmed and will be taking place at Shepherds Down School hydrotherapy pool in Winchester, Hampshire. Swimming classes are 30 minutes & run consecutively in the time slots below. Children will go into the most appropriate class dependent upon your childs age and experience.

Our Instructors

All of our teachers understand young children and have a huge amount of experience supporting a variety of abilities. Each of them specialise in the baby, toddler and pre-schooler age groups. Our swimming teachers are the main reason so many of our Squidlets come back term after term.

Viki

Mum of one, Viki has previous experience working with children at a day nursery, and now combines a love for swimming with teaching. Viki is an enthusiastic teacher, who loves to see children enjoying their time in the water and increasing in confidence each lesson.

Our Shepherds Down School Pool

We love teaching at Shepherds Down School in Winchester because you couldn’t find a pool more suitable for babies and toddlers to learn to swim. A lovely warm hydrotherapy pool, small with stepped entry, space for spectators and convenient to get to… we feel very lucky to be able to use it!
