I’m Laura Skilton, the founder of Baby Squids UK and current owner of Baby Squids Bournemouth and Poole. I’m a mum of three and I am incredibly passionate about supporting children and families to love the water for life. I work with Emily and Jas (our teachers in Bournemouth!) to ensure that you get awesome swimming lessons that ensure you have the same passion that we do!

We have a range of swimming classes in Bournemouth for babies and pre-schoolers; our fully qualified swimming teachers run classes in Bournemouth and Ferndown. We teach babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers (aged 0 – 4) at each of these venues. All our pre-school swimmers learn important swimming skills using our progressive milestones programme, whilst all the time having huge amounts of fun.

My baby son and I love baby squids swimming classes! The classes are the prefect length for him, and he loves all the exercises during the class using such fun and brightly coloured props, with songs and meeting other baby friends. It really is a highlight of our week, and the classes are really well designed for teaching him to feel comfortable in the water and for starting to learn how to swim. The pool is also so warm and lovely to swim in too – a lovely small and intimate class babies and parents. I’d highly recommend it and will be signing up again and again. Thanks so much! We absolutely LOVE Baby Squids. We have just started taking our second child after taking our first a few years ago. The sessions are well planned, the songs are very catchy and the teachers are always friendly and enthusiastic. Not only is swimming a really important thing to start young (my daughter is 4 months) but it’s such a lovely bonding time too. She really enjoys her time in the pool.
