Hi, I’m Caitlin Blackett, the face behind Baby Squids Liverpool. I’m a mum and have worked as a secondary school teacher, and since having my little one, I’ve absolutely loved the special bond we’ve built through swimming. Those moments in the water inspired me to open Baby Squids Liverpool, a place where other parents can enjoy that same connection while helping their little ones grow in confidence.
I’ve always loved swimming and wanted my child to share that love for the water. It’s such an important life skill, but it’s also an amazing way for little ones to explore, play, and build trust with their parents.
At Baby Squids Liverpool, our lessons are designed to be fun, calm, and nurturing, giving every child the chance to progress at their own pace in a warm, supportive environment.
My goal is to create a space where families feel safe, relaxed, and connected – not just through swimming, but also by meeting other parents and sharing the journey together. Each class is full of smiles, songs, and gentle learning, helping little ones gain water confidence while parents enjoy quality time together.

We have a variety of swimming classes in Liverpool for babies and pre-schoolers; our fully qualified swimming teachers offer classes in Allerton and Liverpool. We teach babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers (aged 0 – 4) at these venues. All our pre-school swimmers learn important swimming skills using our progressive milestones programme, while always having huge amounts of fun.

We love teaching at the Springwood Heath Primary School pool in Allerton, Liverpool. Heated to a comfortable 31-32°C and lovely warm air temperature too, it’s perfect for little swimmers. Plus, there’s large changing rooms and free parking!

Everlast Liverpool offers a calm, welcoming environment for babies and toddlers to feel safe and confident in the water. The spacious facilities and relaxed atmosphere make lessons enjoyable for all. This is not a hydro pool, so we do recommend wetsuits for babies.

We know that from new born through to school age, your child develops very fast, hence our Liverpool baby swimming lessons are built around four Milestones, adapted to their current age and ability. We love it when babies attend from birth, but we welcome all abilities and urge you to join our Liverpool children’s swimming classes at any point during a term. We like to work together with Mum and Dad developing your child’s swimming skills, and are more than happy to talk through any specific concerns you may have before joining us.
