I’m Becky Bentley, franchise owner, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to Baby Squids West Yorkshire. I’m really excited to share my Baby Squids adventure with you! It’s something I’m truly passionate about, and it comes from seeing how amazing it is for little ones. It’s not just about cute babies splashing around; it’s about so much more. I think it’s incredible how babies seem to naturally love being in the water.
Seeing a tiny baby kick and splash for the first time, with this huge grin on their face, is just amazing. It makes me want to learn more about how it all works and how we can help them enjoy it even more.
I’ve learned so much about how good swimming is for babies. It helps them get stronger, learn to move better, and they get to experience the world in a whole new way. Being in the water lets them explore and learn things they can’t do on land. It’s like a big, fun playground for them. But it’s not just about fun; it’s also really important for safety. Learning to swim early can help protect them and make sure they’re safe around water. Knowing how to hold their breath or turn onto their back could be really important one day.
What I love most is seeing how happy it makes both the babies and their parents. It’s a special time for them to be together, playing and laughing.

We have a variety of swimming classes in West Yorkshire for babies and pre-schoolers; our fully qualified swimming teachers offer classes in Halifax and Huddersfield. We teach babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers (aged 0 – 4) at these venues. All our pre-school swimmers learn important swimming skills using our progressive milestones programme, while always having huge amounts of fun.

We love teaching at the Everlast Gym pool in Halifax. For our Halifax baby swimming lessons, we have a large area of the pool during our sessions. Heated to a comfortable 30°C and 1.2 meters deep, it’s perfect for little swimmers. Plus, there’s free parking for added convenience!

We know that from newborn through to school age, your child develops very fast, hence our West Yorkshire baby swimming lessons are built around four Milestones, adapted to their current age and ability. We love it when babies attend from birth, but we welcome all abilities and urge you to join our West Yorkshire children’s swimming classes at any point during a term. We like to work together with Mum and Dad developing your child’s swimming skills, and are more than happy to talk through any specific concerns you may have before joining us.
